We think it is best to send your child dressed in clothes that are easily washed and not too new!
Children should feel free to explore and experiment with all kinds of materials, including messy ones, so aprons are provided for these activities. Note they do not give complete protection!
Pre-School T-shirts and Sweatshirts are available to purchase in either Navy or Red. (T-shirts £6, Sweatshirts £9, Long Sleeve T-Shirts £7). You can download our Uniform order form below.
For safety reasons, we feel that long hair is best tied back and jewellery is not encouraged, as it is easily lost or broken and can be dangerous during active play.
Older children are encouraged to become independent when dressing themselves and going to the toilet. Simple clothing enables children to do this.
We are great believers in outdoor play and the children to go outside to explore every session, spring, summer, autumn and winter, with the exception of torrential rain, hail stones or thunder and/or lightening. Wellies are essential when there is a chance that the ground is muddy or wet. Please provide children with warm outdoor clothes (coats, hats, gloves) during the colder months as we will continue with outdoor play whenever it is dry. In the summer months, sunhats are a necessity and sun cream must be pre-applied.
A change of clothes in their bag is always useful, especially if your child is toilet training. We welcome children from the age of 2, whatever stage of potty training they have reached. We ask that you let the staff know your progress with potty training and they will support this as much as they can. If your child uses nappies, please provide nappies and wipes.
If you are walking to pre-school please bring a change of footwear for once inside hall during the winter months. For your child’s safety, we ask that you do not send your child in open toe sandals or croc’s. Please ensure that your child’s clothing and footwear is labeled clearly with his/her name, especially coats and wellies.
