We are delighted to be holding another parent’s evening on Monday 25th June 2012. This is a lovely opportunity for you to talk to your child’s key person about your child’s progress away from a normal busy session and to have a look at their development file. The Hall will be set up as normal, and our photo albums will be on display for you to sit and look through at your leisure!

Invitation letters are being sent out this week. Please return the reply slip promptly so we can pre-book appointments. We will contact you individually to confirm your appointment time.

Fundraising Evening – 26th May 2012

Ardleigh Pre-School will once again be holding it’s annual Fish & Chip Supper with Race Night on Saturday 26th May 2012 in Ardleigh St.Mary’s Primary School Hall.

Tickets cost £8.00 each, including supper. Please talk to Kate, Abi or Liz at Pre-School to buy your tickets. Doors open at 7pm. You can also choose to buy a horse for just £2 – if your horse wins its race you win a bottle! This is always a really fun night so don’t miss out!

We are raising funds for new gardening equipment and outdoor facilities at our Pre-School. Everybody welcome! We hope you can all make it.

All Change!

If the hall is set-up differently each time you come in, please don’t think we have gone crazy, we are just trying new ideas.

We continually strive to offer our services the best way we can and we need to review our practices right through from Ofsted inspections, to staff training, to the way we set up the Hall.

Over the next few weeks we will be trying different ways of setting out the hall, you may have already noticed that we have moved registration mat since the Easter Break. Once we have exhausted all possibilities we will be asking for your feedback before agreeing on a set formula going forward.

Please be patient with us during this time, and we hope that you will welcome the changes in the knowledge that we are improving our services.

If you have any queries or concerns please do not hesitate to speak to Sue Hulbert (Pre-School Manager) or to myself.

Sainsbury’s Active Kid Vouchers

The Sainsburys voucher scheme finished on 10th April 2012. Please can you bring any remaining vouchers into pre-school at your earliest opportunity. Thank you.

The Tesco for schools and clubs voucher scheme runs until 20th May 2012, so please keep on collecting for us! Don’t forget to check with Grandma’s and Grandads, Aunties and Uncles, Neighbours and Friends for any vouchers tucked away in the bottom of handbags etc! We look forward to letting you know how many vouchers we collected, and what equipment we are able to order for the children. Thank you for your support.

Melody & Milligan Bear Dancing

Session Fee’s April 2012

Please be advised that in-line with the increase in the funding from the Government, we have raised our fee for funded children from £11.13 per session to £11.46 per session. This will only apply to funded children who either require an ad-hoc session or who are paying for additional sessions over and above their 15 hours (5 sessions) per week entitlement.

Our fee for self-funded 2 and 3 year olds who are not yet in receipt of the Government funding remains at £8.00 per session. If you have any queries regarding this increase please do not hesitate to contact either Emily or Jenny.

Supermarket Vouchers

Just a quick reminder to let you know that we are collecting vouchers from both Sainsbury and Tesco. You will find the collection box in the entrance hall. Please don’t forget to ask your friends, family and neighbours to collect on behalf of the pre-school. The vouchers can be spent on all sorts of equipment for the pre-school. Last year we were able to buy some lovely magnifying glasses to use in the garden looking at bugs! Thank you for your support.

Goodbye James!

Thursday 29th March was a sad day for our Pre-School – it was the day we said goodbye to James, a member of our staff. James has been with us since he was 16 years old, and now at the grand old age of 21, he has decided that it is time to move onto pastures new. We will miss James a lot, but we wish him all the very best of luck with whatever he does in the future.

On a happier note, Nanna Sue will be returning to Pre-School for the Summer Term to work with the Team on a Monday to replace James, and we will also be seeing more of Emily and David, who will also be doing an extra day each next term.
