A high adult to child ratio is essential in providing good quality pre-school care.
At Ardleigh Pre-School we have at least one adult to every eight children over three years old, and one adult to every four children under three years. We are registered with Ofsted to take 24 children per session, with no more than 8 under 3 during a session.
All staff are fully CRB checked and all children are allocated a Key Person when they start Pre-School who is responsible for helping them to settle in, monitoring their progress and planning the next steps in your child’s development.
We have a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator who works with any child, their key person and their families supporting children to reach their full potential. Our policy is to make sure our Pre-School is accessible to children and families from all sections of the local community. We welcome children with special educational needs and undertake to consider all applicants and their individual needs in a positive and unbiased manner. Our staff support children’s individuality, culture and learning experiences.
The staff who are qualified to supervise a sessions have enhanced CRB checks including a ‘fit persons’ suitability interview from Ofsted.
